Fancy winning triathlons and time trials? If so these are the wheels for you. Our new deep section Aero 86 are as you can imagine 86mm deep and help you slice through the air with ease.
Our Aero 86 is a new wheel for 2019. We tasked our engineers with taking our best-selling Fast and Light series and improving it. They had to keep all the great qualities of our FL series though. The wheels had to be stiff, strong, tubeless ready, and aero.
So, they knew they had to keep the great blunt aero shape of our FL 86 but make it lighter. They did this by constructing the new rim out of Toray T700 and T800 carbon fiber instead of solely out of Toray T700. The mixing of fibers allowed us to save around 100g per wheelset and keep all the qualities that you most admired in the FL series.
To help you stop, sometimes you have to. Our engineers took the brake track from the FL series and its ability to cope with 240° of heat and improved it. OUr new Aero series can cope with 300° of heat.
To add even more quality to this wheelset, we are offering it to you with your choice of DT Swiss hubs. You can pick from the affordable 350S or the lighter weight 240S. Both come with the DT Swiss quality you will have heard all about, including the ability to be serviced without using any tools.
To lace the DT Swiss hubs to our carbon fiber rim, we needed a quality spoke. We decided to use the aero Sapim CX-Ray spoke set. CX-Ray spokes are industry leading due to being lightweight while remaining super stiff.
To finish off this package, we offer the Aero 86 with our two-year guarantee.

Features

Wide Rim Tech

25mm rim wide creates a better, more stable support, while the shape of the tire and rim together creates regular, stable air flow, in short, more aerodynamics, less attrition. provides an ideal basis for 25/28mm tires, the sizes currently popular.

2-Way Clincher Tubeless. Tubes or No-Tubes

Use either traditional tires with tubes, or tubeless tires without tubes. Tubeless tires can provide lower rolling resistance and better protection from punctures.

Sapim CX-RAY As light as a titanium spoke

The CX-Ray still receives the best results in fatigue testing of any spoke. The CX-Ray aero spoke combines excellent aerodynamics with low weight and great strength. Not only are they more aerodynamic, they also make wheels lighter and stronger. Its unique strength and flexibility make the CX-Ray suitable for most bicycle disciplines. CX-Ray spokes are used by top bike racers and triathletes around the world.

Sapim Secure Lock Nipples

Sapim Secure Lock nipple is a locking mechanism that prevents nipples from untightening.Secure Lock nipple can achieve a stable and well defi ned deformation on the thread. Each nipple has an additional locking resistance of 18 +/- 3 cNm

YES!Many customers have purchased wheels and frames of ICAN Cycling, and they give us many good feeback. All products undergo strict quality control and provide warranty.

4.What is the best tire size for my ICAN wheels?

The best tire size for your wheel, which depends on the wheelsets type, size and the conditions you plan to ride the wheel in.
If you focus on speed, aerodynamic, each carbon wheel will have a specific recomended tire width, which is listed on specific product pages under rim specs.

We find(Not necessarily 100% correct): With a broader external width, ICAN Cycling wheels roll most optimally with a 25mm/28mm (actual width) tire. For Jet wheels, we recommend 25mm (actual width) tires, but 28mm (actual width) tires are still an excellent choice. Unless a podium step hangs in the balance, the difference in the speed of the Jet, using a 25mm tire versus a 28mm tire, works out to only 0.05 kph. That’s approximately 3 – 4 seconds over 40km.
