Why choose 88mm carbon track wheelset
When you ride on a velodrome what you want is stiff and fast wheels. Most aluminum wheels will flex a little bit so what you want is a high-end carbon wheel to do your effort justice. The usual problem though is that stiff carbon wheels cost a lot of money, step forward our 88mm carbon track wheelset.
Despite being made from Toray T700 carbon fibre, our 88mm Tubular carbon Track Wheels will not cost the earth. It will, however, make your times around the track shorter.
Our aerodynamic shaped rim will cut through the air like a knife through hot butter. To attach our aero rim to the Novatec A165SBT hubs, we have even fitted aero spokes to make sure every part of our wheelset is optimised for speed.
As we offer a 2-year guarantee on these wheels, we picked Novatec hubs for their superior reliability and serviceability.
These hubs also come with a high flange, so we can use shorted spokes to reach the 88mm deep rims. This means there is less chance of spoke deflection and loss of power with our wheelset. We have engineered these to remove flex and track straight to keep you going fast.
Our 88mm deep is designed only to fit tubular tyres rather than clinchers. Tubular tyres are the first choice of all Olympic level track riders, so you deserve the same level of equipment.

Racing around a velodrome is fun. Do you know what makes it even more fun though? Being the fastest and winning. That is why we present to you our 88mm tubular carbon fiber track wheels.
You will probably be wondering what the name of our wheels means? It merely means these wheels have an 88mm deep aero section, constructed from carbon fiber and they are for track bikes. We have constructed our 88mm deep rims from the excellent Toray T700 carbon fiber cloth. Our engineers worked hard to design a no-nonsense blunt aerodynamic shape to help you get around the velodrome as fast as possible and using as few watts as possible.
We made sure the rim is excellent for tubular fitment as no one like getting glue or tape everywhere. Our shape is straightforward for fitting your tubular tires, to help you have the lithe and supple feel that you want from your tires and the ability to run huge pressures.
To these rims, we have used aero spoke to lace Novatec sealed bearing track hubs. We used aero spokes to make sure that you can have every advantage out there on the track. The Novatec hubs we used as they have great reliability and have an amazing old school high flange look to them. Function and fashion all in one set of great hubs. That is why we can offer you a two-year guarantee on these wheels.

What is the best tire size for my ICAN wheels?
The best tire size for your wheel, which depends on the wheelsets type, size and the conditions you plan to ride the wheel in.
If you focus on speed, aerodynamic, each carbon wheel will have a specific recomended tire width, which is listed on specific product pages under rim specs.
We find(Not necessarily 100% correct):
- With a broader external width, ICAN Cycling wheels roll most optimally with a 25mm/28mm (actual width) tire.
- For Jet wheels, we recommend 25mm (actual width) tires, but 28mm (actual width) tires are still an excellent choice.
- Unless a podium step hangs in the balance, the difference in the speed of the Jet, using a 25mm tire versus a 28mm tire, works out to only 0.05 kph. That’s approximately 3 – 4 seconds over 40km.
What is the recommended tire pressure
If you want the right tire pressure, please read the guide for recommended tire pressure.
What is the suitable spokes tension
